Grinding Team Members

We have openings for reliable and dedicated Grinding Team Members to add to our Grinding Department. All positions are full time with benefits after 90 days. Qualified candidates must be able and willing to:

Requirements

• Be in good physical condition - able to stand for 90% of the shift and able to routinely push and lift 50lbs or more
• Maintain a drug free work environment
• Work in a foundry environment with varying temperatures, dust and noise levels
• Excellent manual dexterity, eyesight and physical condition required
• Knowledge and skills of removing excess metal from iron and steel castings with grinding equipment such as electric and air grinding tools
• Able to work individually, after training, with minimal direction from management
• Read and write basic English – Have the knowledge of casting terminology such as riser pads, flashing, in-gates, chaplets, and etc.
• Have basic math skills – counting, simple addition and subtraction
• Knowledge of proper lifting techniques with the ability to operate a jib crane to maneuver heavy loads safely
• Safety-oriented – Wear mandatory safety gear and adhere to prescribed safety practices. Be clean shaven, if needed, for respirator use.
• Have reliable transportation, be punctual, and hard-working
