Manhattan Project

Spanning the East River in New York City, the Manhattan Bridge was one of the last suspension bridges built to connect Lower Manhattan and Brooklyn. Completed in 1901, it has since become an iconic part of the city's landscape. One of its most distinctive features is the four large decorative globes that adorn the bridge’s towers.

After more than a century, the Department of Transportation determined that the globes required replacement. Trumbull Foundry was honored to contribute to the restoration efforts, playing a key role in reproducing these historic elements and preserving the bridge’s timeless grandeur.
